Minimally Invasive Treatment to close Varicose Veins

Why treat varicose veins?

Treatment prevents more serious health risks that can occur including: • Prolonged swelling in the legs • Open sores or ulcers on the surface of the skin • Phlebitis • Infection • Thrombosis. Treating varicose veins will keep your legs and body in better health. Once the treated vein is closed, blood flows through other healthy veins in the leg.

Endovenous Laser Ablation [ Also known as EVLA or EVLT ]

This procedure uses a thin laser fiber inserted into the vein to apply heat energy and close the vein. Endovenous laser ablation is typically performed in your physician’s office, takes less than an hour and has virtually no recovery period.

What to Expect with Endovenous Laser Treatment ?

Typical treatment includes: • Ultrasound exam of the vein • Application of local anesthetic • Insertion of a laser fibre through a tiny access point • Delivery of laser energy to close the vein • Removal of the laser fibre and closure of the access point with a bandage • Wrapping of the leg for 24 hours. Immediate walking is encouraged to promote healing. Little to no pain is typically experienced, but may be treated with over-thecounter pain relievers as needed.

Why choose us?

Thousands of satisfied 'vein patients'. Emphasis on cosmetic outcome. Latest 3rd generation laser, less pain, quick recovery.

The newer 1470 nanometer (nm) wavelength laser targets the water in the vein wall instead of the hemoglobin, resulting in a more comfortable procedure for patients without post-operative bruising or swelling. The 1470 nm laser's water absorption rate is approximately 60 times more than the 980nm lasers. Through this laser, we get the superior results of 100 percent closure rate. Possible to combine EVLT with microphlebectomy, EVLT alone is not sufficient for most patients. This reduces the need for costly post EVLT treatments. Latest technolgy to treat leftover veins after EVLT [ if required ] Outpatient treatment, no risk of hospital acquired infections. Free post-op care, no charge for follow up appointments.

Why is our EVLT better ?

Old way EVLT

Old methods

Older generation of lasers require complicated steps of operation. A typical kit for vein access is shown above and it is clear that quite a few steps are required before a laser fibre can be passed into the target vein for EVLT. We prefer simple techniques with fewer steps and quick recovery.

Latest Easy EVLT

Atraumatic laser fibre simplifies the operation. It only requires one simple and painless entry into the target vein under local anaesthesia. Picture shows only an access needle and fibre are required as compared to many steps required for older EVLT procedures. This makes the procedure very simple and quick.
